Corn N' Nut Pretzel Bites

Tomorrow is the first day of fall! Yippie! I've brought you a simple recipe so you can make a zillion of these, sit back, and enjoy a little snack on this special day. The leaves are changing, the temperature is dropping and the candy corn and pumpkin spice lattes are a flown'. All of this adds up to one giddy cowgirl! I was going to wait and post this tomorrow, but hello! Today is Saturday and this would be the perfect tailgate or football watchin' snack. And you can make them in less than 10 minutes. Yeah, it would have been a shame to wait till tomorrow.

Corn N' Nut Pretzel Bites

This little salty-sweet combo of candy corn and salted peanuts has been one of my favorites for a few years now.  Smoosh them on top of a melty, chewy Rolo and a crunchy, salty pretzel and you've got one snappy little treat.

These are so pop-able and make the perfect one bite dessert. But you better eat 40 just to make sure you like them! No judgement here.

Candy Corn and Peanuts Pretzel Bites
Candy corn
Salted peanuts
Rolos or orange candy melts
Square pretzels {or small pretzel twists}

Preheat oven to 200ยบ and line baking sheet with parchment paper. Place pretzels on baking sheet and top with one Rolo or orange candy melt. Bake for 4-5 minutes. Remove from oven and work quickly to top each one with a candy corn and peanut.

These can be chilled in the refrigerator so the chocolate will set up quicker. Or eating them a little melty, well I guess that would be just fine also.

I don't recommend using the Hershey's kisses because I just don't think they melt as well. The Rolos and the candy melts work perfectly for this. Also, I like using the square pretzels, but small pretzel twists or the small round pretzels will work fine also.

And for all my Oklahoma State fans out there, this would make a fun OSU tailgate or game day food! And who could forget about Halloween? Put a few of these in a little baggie and they would make the most adorable gifts! Need another candy corn and peanut idea? You don't wanna miss these Chewy Candy Corn Nutter Butter Bars
