Buffalo Pretzels

Beware! These are addictive! Think chex mix meets buffalo party snack and whammy! You've got buffalo pretzels.

Homemade Buffalo Pretzels

I tried this recipe two ways, once with hot sauce and once with wing sauce. Yes, it does make a difference. In my buffalo chicken dip and cheesy buffalo chicken pockets, I use hot sauce. In this recipe though, wing sauce is the way to go.

Buffalo Pretzels
12 C assorted pretzels
5 oz melted butter
1 packet ranch dressing packet mix (I use Hidden Valley)
1/2 tsp celery salt
2 T wing sauce (I use Louisiana)

Preheat oven to 250 degrees and cover a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Pour pretzels in a large bowl and set aside. In a small bowl, melt the butter. Add ranch mix, celery salt and wing sauce. Stir. Pour over pretzels and stir to coat. (I use my hands for this; much easier that way). Once everything is coated with melted sauce mixture, pour over prepared baking sheet and spread out. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Cool. Get to snackin'.

This orange, zesty little snack would be a fun gift also. Just package it up in little sacks or mason jars and give 'em away.

These yummy crunchy pretzels made me want to try soft pretzels too. Hmmmm, next time!
