Chewy Candy Corn Nutter Butter Bars

So, now that it's September, is it too soon to start thinking about Halloween treats? Because MY grocery store has had candy corn out for over a month now. And since I have been enjoying this orange and yellow treat, I feel like you should too! It's only fair.

Chewy Candy Corn Nutter Butter Bars

This is really just a fancy version of one of my favorite treats: Candy Corn and Salted Peanuts! Or "Nuts 'n Corn!"

Have you ever made Rice Krispies Treats? Then you can make these!

I'm almost embarrassed to give you a "recipe" for these. They are so easy! But the sweet and salty together is soooo good. Plus, who doesn't love peanut butter?

Chewy Candy Corn Nutter Butter Bars
     makes 16 bars
1 lb package Nutter Butters
1 C candy corn
4 T butter
6 C marshmallows

Place one row of the Nutter Butters in the food processor and pulse a few times. Blend until cookies are turned into crumbs. Break up remaining row of cookies into large chunks. In a large bowl, melt butter and marshmallows together in microwave, stirring occasionally. Once melted, add Nutter Butter crumbs and chunks and stir together. (This will be thick and a little tough to stir. Don't worry, you're doing it right.) Pour about 3/4 C candy corn into mixture and stir to combine. Pour mixture into 8X8 baking dish that has been sprayed with Baker's Joy. Top cookie bars with remaining 1/4 C candy corn. Let cool completely before cutting.

Look at the cookie pieces! Yum!

These festive treats would be great at a fall festival.

Or for a Halloween party!

Just make sure you invite me over when you make them. I'm already say they are gone!

  1. I am sooooo looking forward to making these for the kids this Halloween. I'll probably be eating most of it myself once they've gone to sleep. :)

  2. I am so ready for fall, especially halloween! Can't believe these bars only have 4 ingredients, but they do look tasty. I'll admit that the extreme close up photo had a big influence. Yum!
