I saw these Dark Chocolate Mint M&M's the other day and immediately thought about the pretzel kisses.
Dark Chocolate Mint Pretzel Kisses
The Mint M&M's are such lovely shades of green and they are perfect for St. Patty's Day!
They taste a lot like Junior Mints, but with a candy shell. In fact, they are basically exactly like the mints at Brio Tuscan Grill {my favorite mints ever}. If you've never had them, you're missing out! They are like a wonderful after dinner mint. Don't worry if you don't have a Brio close, just get these M&M's!
The great thing about these pretzel kiss bites is that they are SO fast and easy to make {under 10 minutes} and it only takes 3 ingredients!
Dark Chocolate Mint Pretzel Kisses
makes 48
48 Snyder's Snaps square pretzels
48 Hershey's Kisses Special Dark
48 Dark Chocolate Mint M&M's
Preheat oven to 200 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place pretzel squares on baking sheet and top each one with a Hershey's Kiss.
Place in the oven and bake for 4 minutes {only!}. Remove pan from oven and immediately place an M&M on top of each kiss and gently press down. They will be quite melty and the perfect consistency for topping.
Place the pan in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes, or until the chocolate hardens back up just a little. Serve! How easy is that?
I prefer dark chocolate {in the purple wrapper} to milk chocolate or sweet chocolate for something like this because it is not as sweet and I thik it is a great combination with the sweet mint M&M's, but if you like things a little sweeter, go for the milk chocolate Hershey's Kisses.
This would be a fun activity to do with older kids. Have them put the kisses on top of the pretzels, and with supervision, they could help put the M&M's on top of the kisses!
My FAVORITE thing about these treats is the salty with the sweet! There are a lot of combinations you could do with these. You could use different colored M&M's, Rolos instead of Hershey's Kisses, different Kisses {Caramel, Melt Away, Air Delights, Hugs}, nuts instead of M&M's.....whatever you want!
These would also be fun for Christmas, especially because they are mint! Make these for the mint-chocolate lover in your life! Need other green St. Patrick's Day ideas? Check out my holiday page! Also, green is one of your team colors, this would be a really fun game day treat!
